Who wrote the Shake-speare plays?
Venue: Independent Evangelical Church
Time: 11am
Price: £5 Pay on the door
Description
When local amateur historian Ben Alexander discovered that the Shake-Speare Sonnets were published under a pseudonym he started research to understand how they were related to the Shakespeare Plays. He uncovered a whole history of spin, hyperbole, forgery and deceit. No other playwright’s works have so relentless been questioned as to their authorship - but the evidence still supports the gentleman maltster, or was he a glove-maker, or a butcher from Stratford upon Avon? Or it did! Journalists have been inventing and embellishing stories for years.
Ben Alexander dispels the folklore and presents the fascinating facts about who wrote the Shakespeare Plays.
